Reduce the probability of success for an ICBM to 60%, and reduce the probability of a bordering square being destroyed by an ICBM to 25%.
- Comments: Maybe we'll actually get out of this game with a board left!
- Proposal #81
- Proposed by Kwyjibo
- Rejected by a vote of 6-1.
All squares that previously existed but have since been destroyed and do not currently exist will be put back on the board and be unowned.
- Comments: The destroyed squares will already get filled in, slowly but surely.
- Proposal #82
- Proposed by THE CHEESE
- Accepted by a vote of 6-1. Modified section 3 of rule XXIX.
New Method of Transportation:
Name: Springy Shoes
Cost: $150
Dice: None (see below)
Other: A player using Springy Shoes will not roll dice on his turns. Instead, when making a move, he will jump to a randomly selected square on the board. A player using Springy Shoes does not fill in numbers on a Bingo Card when moving.
- Comments: If you don't care where you go, here's a nice way to travel.
- Proposal #83
- Proposed by ChinDoGu
- Rejected by a vote of 4-3.
Card Tricks
If at any time a player would draw a card, and doing so will increase that players hand to a size greater than 12 cards, that player has the option to either skip the draw, or to discard a card from their hand. The draw will be delayed untill the next update, and the admin will inform that player that they have this option. If the player has not specified to the admin which card they wish to discard by then, they will be assumed to be skipping their draw
A Player with more than 12 cards in their hand my discard a card at any time.
If in the update following this proposals acceptance, a player has more than 12 cards, the admin will randomly select 12 of that players cards for that player to keep. The rest are discarded.
- Comments: We had another proposal with a similar goal this week. Perhaps we have another reason to discuss proposals on the message board prior to submission...?
- Proposal #84
- Proposed by ChocolateChip
- Accepted by a vote of 5-2. Added section 5 and 6 to rule XIV and modified rule 2 of section XXIV.
If a player is instructed to draw a card, and that card would bring the player's total number of cards to more than 25, then the card drawn will not go to the player, but will instead be buried underneath the player's current square. Only the player who would have received the card will be informed of the card buried under the square, and the fact that there are card(s) buried under a square will not be posted on the web site.
A player may also volunarily bury any card he has under his current square at any time.
A new item at the House of Cards, a Shovel, is now available at a cost of $50. A player may use a shovel at any time, and by using a shovel he will dig up all cards (if any) that are on his current square and gain posession of them, provided that they do not bring his card count above 25. If digging up cards in this fashion would bring his total to more than 25, the player will only dig up as many cards (randomly selected) to bring his total to 25. He will still be informed of what other cards are still buried under the square. In any case, using a Shovel causes the player to lose ownership of it.
Note: This rule only limits total cards after drawing a card from the Admin or digging up cards. It does not limit total cards that can be achieved through other methods (such as trading) and does not cause anyone who currently has more than 25 cards to lose any.
- Comments: Fun stuff, more hidden information for me to keep track of.
