- Proposal #59
- Accepted by a vote of 7-0. Modified rule 3 of section XXIV, and added rules 4 and 5 to section XXIV
- Proposed by Cypher
A player may decide to switch between transportation methods. Once a transport method has been purchased (ie clogs, skates, car, monkey sled), the player may choose to switch between any of the purchased methods at will. If the player is switching from rollerblades or clogs, they can simply carry them around like other items. In the situation of the car/monkey sled, you must find a place to park. You may park your car or rocket sled on the square you currently occupy. If you wish to park your vehicle on another players square/block, you must pay rent for the square the car is parked on for every turn the vehicle remains parked. You may also park your vehicle on your own squares for free. In the event that you wish to switch back to the car or monkey sled, you may do so for free, but you must pass over or land on same square as the vehicle in question. It is thus also possible for a player to own more than one car/monkey sled if they wish and keep them parked while not in use.
- Comments: Wouldn't the monkey get lonely and hungry?
- Proposal #60
- Accepted by a vote of 4-3.
- Proposed by Draven
Providing the Corporation rule gets passed, the Corporate Proposals and shares (registered or not) are tradeable items.
- Comments: No change to the rules, since this proposal states that Corporation Rule must pass. Draven still receives $100 though.
- Proposal #61
- Rejected by a vote of 4-3.
- Proposed by Wonder
Paint paradise
Paint guns shall be sold at the Nomopolopg General store. The paintball gun requires a can of paint to work which of course is bought separately. While the gun may be used repeatedly without repurchase, the can of paint may only be used once.
Paint guns cost $200.
Paint guns when used in conjunction with a can of paint have the ability to color a player from 15 squares counting from behind or forward from the players shooting current location on the board and reducing the health of that player if hit by paint gun.
The likely hood of painting/injuring another player is as follows:
If the intended victim is within 0-5 squares (counting both forward or backwards from the player shooting) the likely hood is 1:2 or 50%. If the intended victim is within 5-10squares (counting both forward or backwards from the player shooting) the likely hood is 1:4 or 25%. If the intended victim is within 11-15squares (counting both forward or backwards from the player shooting) the likely hood is 1:8 or 12.5%. If the intended victim is hit then that person is colored the color of what was originally in the can of paint and they lose 25 health points (nasty paint fumes).
Paint guns must be used with a can of paint, and once the gun has been fired the can of paint is used (empty can of paint is discarded and disappears from the game).
When the guns someone fires a gun there is a 1:12 chance 8.3% chance of the gun not working and the paint spilling on to yourself wasting the can of paint and coloring yourself! (Although quite rare)
- Comments: The main complaint was the 25 damage being too high. Players would die too quickly.
- Proposal #62
- Rejected by a vote of 4-3.
- Proposed by Draven
I would like to propose a new entity in the game called the Corporation. Each square on the board after purchase will come with one share of the Corporation. It will cost $50 to register the share with the Corporation. A registered share will give the owner one vote in the Corporation. Each week, every person who owns at least one registered share will be able to propose a rule which applies to the Corporation (which will be refered to as a Corporate Proposal). This does not count as one of the two proposals a player already gets.
- Comments: I like the whole sub-game concept, but this may be a little too complicated.
- Proposal #63
- Accepted by a vote of 6-1. Modified rule 3 of section XVII
- Proposed by ChocolateChip
Add the following items to the Nomopoly General Store:
Grease: $500. Can be used on squares by the same rules as paint/paint thinner (ie. pay extra $100 to grease a square you don't currently occupy, can't grease other player's squares). When a player lands on a greased square, the player loses 5 health and slides to the next square, and is said to land there, not on the original square. If the target square is also greased, the player will lose 5 more heatlh and slide once again, continuing until an ungreased square is reached. There is no limit to how many times a player can slide in this manner, but a player may not lose more than 20 health in one move due to grease. Also, players wearing clogs are immune to the effects of grease.
De-Greaser: $750. Removes grease from a square of your choice. You don't have to be on the square to de-grease it, but you can't de-grease a square owned by another player.
Air Freshener: $450. Can be used to Air Freshen the square you currently occupy, regardless of whether or not you own it. A square, once Air Freshened, will remain Air Freshened for 3 turns, at which point the Air Freshener will wear off. A player landing on an Air Freshened square instantly gains 3 health. Also, any player occupying an Air Freshened square is immune to the effects of the Big Fart.
- Comments: At least the board grows when someone passes the end. Otherwise I know you guys would grease the whole board!!
- Proposal #64
- Accepted by a vote of 4-2. Modified rule 3 of section XVII
- Proposed by Woll
I propose to include cans of brown, pink and grey colors to the color selection for paint sold in the nomopoly general store. So then the colors of paint available to buy would be red, yellow, pink, green, purple, orange, blue, brown, grey.
- Comments: Makes one of the winning conditions much harder, and one a little easier.
- Proposal #65
- Accepted by a vote of 4-3. Removed rule 1 of section XXV
- Proposed by The Founder
Since apparently nobody noticed it, I'll point it out. If the UFO swaps a square owned by a player with a square which has a General store on it, the owned square will become one which has a store on it. Under the current set of rules, this will create a paradox as a store square cannot be owned. In order to fix this flaw, I propose that the UFO be removed from the ruleset.
- Comments: Perhaps fixing the rule would have been better, but OK, you guys decided this would be easier.
- Proposal #66
- Accepted by a vote of 5-2. Modified rule 2 of section III
- Proposed by ChocolateChip
With the lottery in the game, winning will be too easy. Rather than delete the lottery, I propose that a player must meet 5 of the conditions listed in rule III-2 in order to win, rather than just 4.
- Comments: This rule actually makes it easier for the lottery winner to win, since $20000 is enough to do whatever you want anyway.
- Proposal #67
- Rejected by a vote of 6-1.
- Proposed by Wonder
I proposal that when a player reaches 0 or less health that he will be allowed to reset and start the game over from square one only once.
- Comments: We wouldn't want players getting eliminated entirely from the game.
- Proposal #68
- Accepted by a vote of 6-0. Added rules 3 and 4 to section XXII
- Proposed by The Founder
I propose that money being payed to players that does not come from another player or game entity will come from the Admin Bank Account (a player will still get money if the account does not have enough, the account will just end up with a negative total). If at any time the Admin Bank Account has less than $0, the Admin is said to be in debt. If at any time the Admin has more money than each player, the Admin is said to be rich.
- Comments: I was waiting for this one...
- Proposal #69
- Rejected by a vote of 5-2.
- Proposed by Jamie
that 10 squares be added to the board
- Comments: The board already grows on its own.
- Proposal #70
- Accepted by a vote of 7-0. Added rule 4 to section X
- Proposed by Cypher
A player who lands on a square painted the same color as the player, the player receives a 20% discount on rent.
- Comments: Yay! Now player colors actually matter!!
