- Proposal #50
- Rejected by a vote of 4-2.
- Proposed by ChocolateChip
The Fountains of Wealth and Health are pointless, all they do is take money and health away from all players. I propose that we eliminate the fountains from the game.
- Comments: If the fountains were a bad idea, they wouldn't have been accepted in the first place.
- Proposal #51
- Accepted by a vote of 4-1. Modified rule 2 of section X.
- Proposed by The Founder
Players may at any time re-name a square that they own by paying $100.
- Comments: All those Draven Corps must be getting annoying by now.
- Proposal #52
- Accepted by a vote of 4-1. Added a new section XXV to the rules.
- Proposed by Draven
I propose that a UFO be added to the game. This UFO, once per turn, after all other actions, if a roll off one dice is equal to the number 5 or 6, it will randomly swap two squares on the board, and all objects and attributes of the squares except the square numbers will be swapped with them. (ie. if squares 9 and 37 are swapped, square 9 becomes 37 and vice versa, so the squares are still in sequential order on the board after the swap)
- Comments: Kind of like the Tornado from the original Nomopoly. Then again, I'm sure no one is stealing ANY ideas from that game...
- Proposal #53
- Accepted by a vote of 4-2. Added a new section XXVI to the rules.
- Proposed by Woll
Every week a lottery draw will be held. The winner will receive 50% of the money in the admin's bank account. Tickets will cost $100 each, and players are limited to buying a maximum of 3 tickets per week. Money from the purchased tickets will be placed in the admin bank account after the draw.
- Comments: The lottery draw will take place at the end of each week, during the Sunday update.
- Proposal #54
- Accepted by a vote of 5-1. Modified rule 1 of section XX and added rules 2, 3, and 4 to section XX.
- Proposed by Cypher
A player may choose to trade their weekly rule proposal(s) to other player(s) in the game. Any trades involving rule proposals must be completed at least 24 hours prior to the time that rule submissions are due. A traded proposal counts to be from the user who it was traded to, not the original owner. Should there ever be a rule about players using their proposals, the player(s) who have traded their proposals are exempt from those rules and all responsibility for the rule proposals is transferred to the player who they were traded too. Also, a proposal may only be traded once per week.
- Comments: Good idea. Now all we need is a way to trade votes, and then maybe I'll actually get all 7 votes for each proposal every week.
- Proposal #55
- Accepted by a vote of 4-2. Added rules 2, 3, and 4 to section III of the rules.
- Proposed by The Founder
At the end of any turn, if a player meets at least 4 of the following, that player is declared the winner:
That player has at least 110% of the money of each other player
That player owns at least two separate blocks
That player owns at least one block of at least three squares
That player owns more property than each other player
That player is the same colour as at least one of their blocks
That player owns at least one painted square of each possible colour
That player has passed over or landed on every square on the board that already existed on the board at the beginning of that turn at least one time during that turn
In addition, at that time, the player cannot meet any of the following:
That player currently holds the Hot Potato
That player currently holds a Poison Donut
That player was bankrupt at any time during the turn in which that player would be declared the winner
That player had less than 50 health at any time during the turn in which that player would be declared the winner
That player is the same colour as at least two other players
Once someone has been declared the winner, the game ends.
In the event that multiple players could be declared the winner, the person who meets the most of the optional requirements is the winner. If the winner is still unclear, whoever owns the most property is the winner. If the winner is still unclear, the player with the most money is the winner. If the winner is still unclear, whoever has more blocks is the winner. If the winner is still unclear, whoever owns a larger block is the winner. If the winner is still unclear, the players between whom the title of winner is in contention are all declared the winner.
Note: When determining who is the winner, if multiple players could be declared winner, but only a portion of those would be considered winner, only that portion is considered for the rest of determining the winner. In this way, a player that could not normally be declared winner will not be declared winner due to the determination process.
- Comments: FINALLY!!
- Proposal #56
- Rejected by a vote of 4-2.
- Proposed by Draven
The game may have new players added only under the conditions that the player takes full responsibility for knowing all rules up to the current turn, and being familiar with all activities that have taken place up until the point at which they enter. They will start the game with the same starting conditions as all other players when they started the game.
- Comments: I think new players would be completely confused joining at this point. Then again, Wonder seems to be doing OK so far...
- Proposal #57
- Rejected by a vote of 5-1.
- Proposed by Cypher
Every owned square must be maintained. Without proper maintenance, any building will become dilapidated. Maintenance will cost exactly one half of the cost paid to purchase the square when it was first bought (If the square was traded, then it is the price the original owner paid). After 5 * n (n = the number of the square) people have landed on the square and paid rent to the owner, the owner must pay for maintenance. After a square is deemed to require maintenance, the owner will have one turn to perform the maintenance before the square is condemned. If the owner cannot afford maintenance, or decides not to pay it, then the square is said to be condemned and will revert to its original state, an un-owned square (with no name) available for purchase by anybody who lands on the square afterwards. Once maintenance has been paid for, the squares maintenance counter will instantly return to a value of 5*n
- Comments: You are assessed for street repairs. Pay $40 per house, $115 per hotel.
- Proposal #58
- Accepted by a vote of 5-1. Modified rule 1 of section III, and added rule 5 to section III.
- Proposed by ChocolateChip
Define a player's Net Worth to be the sum of the following::
- The amount of money the player has
- Value of all sqaures owned by that player. The "value" of a square is the purchase price of the square plus the purchase price of any improvements or additions to the square (ie. paint).
- The value of all items a player has. The "value" of an item is the purchase price of the item. If the item does not have a clearly defined purchase price, then the item's value is the amount of money it could be sold back for (ie. Lucky Donuts). If the item has no purchase price and can not be sold back, then it has no value.
Now add the following rule to section III:
If at any time for any reason the game ends, but the rules do not define a Winner, then the Winner is the player with the highest Net Worth.
- Comments: So if you have the highest Net Worth, phone Parker Brothers and have them sue me, and you will win the game.
