A Fourplayer Nomic Chess Variant
Last updated: Wednesday March 4, 1998
Fourplay is a four-player nomic chess variant. It was started in August 1997 by Chuck Smith , who shortly thereafter left the game, citing time constraints. Currently the other players besides myself are Uri Bruck, Dan Knapp, and Mark MacGilleain.
We started with the original nomic rules (although the inventor has altered them since we began) with the intent to make a chess game, and went from there. (For more information about Nomic, check out the page of the inventor, Peter Suber ). A lot of rules are based on those of Party Chess which is a sub-game of Ackanomic .
