I melt one stick of butter, add 1t seasoned salt (Lawry's) and 4t Worcestershire Sauce (Lee and Perrins). I use roughly 8 cups of Chex, usually heavy on the Wheat, medium on the Rice and light on Corn, unless I use Crispex, which Scott also likes a lot. I throw in a few handfuls of pretzels, depending on the size of my container, and a cup or two of nuts. We splurge these days and use cashews, but mixed nuts are good, too, and the old standby of Dry-Roasted Peanuts is always available.
So, melt the butter and add the s.salt and wor. Stir in dry ingredients and toss to coat. Heat in 250° oven for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread on paper towel to cool.
If I do it in the microwave, I do it on High for 2 minutes, stir, another 2 minutes, stir and then 1 to 2 minutes.
