We wouldn't have to. If a proposal to repeal the fighting thing is passed, everyone could propose a new direction for the game to go in and at best we could lose two weeks of play, but it's not like we've been playing too much anyway.
I only suggest this because one can easily see the disparity between players at this point. Not everyone started on equal terms; at this stage of the game, before any real combat has started, The Founder controls about 23% of the board and has already built up a good number of units, while others have only just barely started to build up their own force.
