I don't really believe [i]all[/i] politicians suffer from this, and there are certainly more of them than there are of us. 1 vote of theirs is signifigantly less powerful than 1 of our own. And with this instance, every single one of us who votes one way would get a reward, while the representatives listening to lobbyists are asked to vote one way or another based on the issue.

Hence, the analogy doesn't work.
