Actually this isn't a glitch, just an oddity in the way I implemented fireballs. Since throwing fireballs works a little differently (select forward or backward, no range limit), there is a completely different section on the miscellaneous page for throwing fireballs. And the miscellaneous page won't show this section unless you're able to throw a fireball at the time (which you can't because an item was thrown less than 24 hours ago).
